“Pagbabalik searches beneath the veneer of identity to
expose the hidden pains and passions of a past
embedded not only in name and family, but in the skin,
the terrain. It follows a Filipina daughter’s return
to the land of her heritage and to the ghosts that
inhabit her legacy.” – Elmaz Abinader, award-winning
author and playwright, “Country of Origin”
